Lying naked in the warm spring night
soothing my traveling thoughts,
I devour a voice not yet heard before
as if existing before it’s time,
laden eyed drifting in wilderness
nothing to perturb me, I sleep

I finally found some time to catch up on reading your posts. I think this is my favorite of your recent poems! It makes me want to go camping.
Thanks Laura! I’ve never tried camping before, but should definitely try it out sometime soon with the family.
Spring is quickly ebbing into Summer
I don’t think I could sleep naked in the wilderness! Too many eyes and hungry wolves! Seriously though, this is a beautiful poem about summer adventures that beckon. Right?
Haha… it’s about however it best resonates for you… you could replace wilderness with another word like solitude, etc.. but wilderness puts the meaning up in the air a little more… words for thoughts! But definitely the looming summer is in the wings
