We witnessed 9 Paralympic records and 4 world records broken at the morning session (3 hours) of swimming in the wonderful Aquatics Centre last Saturday. Not bad for £30! My family and I made a decision from the outset of ticket selling that we would support and attend the Paralympic Games. The tickets are cheaper (£10 for adults, and £5 for children) than the Olympic Games, came with a map of the Olympic Park (plus necessary information), and all day travel card tickets (for travel on all forms of transport). An despite being surrounded by Army personnel and police officers armed with machine guns, the crowd (including myself) felt quite at ease for what turned out to be a truly brilliant morning of sport.
